Josie,
a friend of mine for 15 years who is a Filipina midwife
(delivered my first son, DJ 13 years ago) will be starting the
Project BLESS at the Ranch. BLESS stand for Basic Literacy
Education Support System. She has chosen 10 children from the
neighborhood who will never have the opportunity to go to
school. For 14 weeks starting July 2nd, they will learn to
read, write and most important.....learn about Jesus.
My
parents have graciously donated the $200 for the first 10
children. Please pray for this project!
We have
extended our tickets until September 6 to be able to help my
parents through the next phase of their life. Their house is up
for sale and my father has his surgery July 9th. Their 50th
Anniversary celebration was super! My two sisters and I pulled
everything together last minute. To God be the glory!
DJ,
Micah and Catherine have performed 40 times since we've been
here. God has made this ministry what it is through DJ's gifts
in music, Micah's obedient spirit and Catherine's love for
children.
